  • New Canaan

These days, I only seem to produce unfinished personal pieces. This one is based on Hodgson House, a private home by Philip Johnson. It is located in New Canaan, Connecticut, just a stone’s throw from Johson’s Glass House (no joke intended). It is far less famous, though far more habitable.

I’ve also uploaded a few more vintage chairs to the Warehouse, and given them the New Canaan treatment. In order of appearance: Arne Jacobsen’s Grand Prix Chair; Marcel Breuer’s Cesca Chair; Friso Kramer’s Result Chair.

Very nice work! If I had to find something to critique, I'd say your vegetation always looks sort of dry. But yeah, love your texture work and overall balance. Do you shoot your own textures nowadays or do you still find base photos online? Did you use a plugin to generate the floor tiles and if so may I ask what it was? Looks awesome!

VRay is great, but the evidence here is that texturing brings out the artist. Bertrand, are you still having trouble with render time?

Wow amazing... NOT as usual, but better and better every time you post something!

With your recent issues you were having with VRay 2 and the dmc sampler and brute force, did you manage to resolve it for these brilliant images? Or did you decide to switch to IR Map?
                        Kind Regards,
                        Morne

note the meniscus around the stepping stones in the shallow courtyard pool that catches a soft highlight. it's the attention to detail that make these images so very impressive.

                          nice.

The images are great. Because of how good they are I was looking for a copy of BRIX and have been unable to find anything resembling a download or the manufacturers site. Does anyone have an idea where I can find the full version of BRIX? It would be most helpful.

                            Cheers

My understanding is Brix is no longer in development.
