  • Serious bug : animated focal doesn't work...

    Hi,
Like the title say, if you animate the focal of a camera, Vray will not render the animated focal.

    All my render is wrong.

    V-Ray: V-Ray for Maya version 2.25.01, revision 22344 from Sep 2 2012, 01:36:01, Maya 2011, win64.

What is the solution, without to change the Vray build ?

    Thanks

Edit : ok, add a physical camera, disable exposure correction, and it works. The problem is i loose some render time.
I think you have to correct this please.
    Thanks.

      Hi,
It looks like, when you have animated focal with physical camera, the meta data of the exr is wrong also.

      Thank you.

We animated the focal length as well in some shots some time ago.
The animation worked, but when we sent out the job onto our farm (Deadline Renderfarm) there was a problem when the task size was larger than one frame per task.
The rendered animation was stuttering as if the evaluation of the focal length was different on every machine.
After we reduced the task size to one frame per task it worked as intended (on farm with different machines), but we didnĀ“t use the physical camera.
