  • Ford "Ice"

    Ford "Ice" is the latest spot to come out of Hatch Studios Ltd. featuring computer generated vehicles, environments and VFX shots produced in full 1080P HD.

    The spot features a Fusion making an epic journey across two continents and freezing its surrounding environment in doing so. This is synonymous with Ford's tagline: "Create a reaction." When crosses the ocean we showcase beautiful frozen environments through which the car determinately travels until it reaches the other side. At this point, we are greeted with an unexpected surprise bringing the commercial to a dramatic finale.

      If post.author = 'Richard Roseman'" then reply = "Wow, amazing work"

      btw did you use the madcar car plugin? or did you do the animation your self ?

        wow.
        are any shots of the cars real footage, or is it all CGI>?
        good work - what compositing app did you put it together in - still using AFX for this or something else?

            Really nice, and I actually liked the story. I had to watch it a couple times through before I noticed some of the more subtle elements, like the plane shadow in the dandelion scene, or the plane itself flying overhead in the coastline scene.
            The sunrise on the ice is really beautiful. Terrific job.

              Really great. One of the better commercials out there - shows the car well, good story, and excellent visuals. I have one question though, what does a "Car Paint Checker" do and how do I become one?
              www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

                  outstanding, really. beautiful work with the ice, great atmosphere and all. even though I missed the narrative at first, got what happened reading through the scenes breakdown (but it may be just me being a wee bit thick).

                    Hey guys;

                    Thanks for the ncie replies.

                    SV, I hope I wasn't misleading in my post - some of the cars are shot live, some are CG. So it's a mix of that, along with matte paintings, environmental enhancements, and much more.

                            The best CG-car I've seen from your studio!!!
                            But still - no interior seen, behind that black glass.
                            I just can't seem to trust myself
                            So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?
