    Now I need to render 5 000 000 000 001 polygons
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

5 trillion if you're in the US or UK. 5 billion if you're most other places

Very impressive. Gonna have to give this a shot myself. Maybe I can reach a quadrillion?

It says in the blog; it was rendered in two portions, left and right, whole thing took 6 hours with GI and glossy reflections on the greenery, on a single quad with 8 GB of RAM.

i would love to hear something about a scatter plugin that can work with vrays animatable proxies which could instance copy the proxies yet still be able to randomise the start frame of the proxie animation

I'm pretty sure this is the same guy who wrote the MadCar plugin...which is a great little plugin i might add. Look it up on cgtalk and you can see it in action...as well as those trees too!

that plugin looks awesome. would have been perfect for a recent project we had that we ended up using other software for the trees 'layer'.
