Yes! The V-Ray® for Maya® beta-testing is a fact!

21 Nov, 2005,Sofia,ChaosGroup - After its tremendous success on the commercial market on the 3ds Max® platform, we have managed to extend our state of the art rendering solution to the Maya® community.

V-Ray has become the renderer of choice for big architectural studios across the world, entertainment production houses and broadcast studios. Multi-million dollar projects have trusted their visuals to V-Ray. Industry veterans like Digital Domain relied on V-Ray for projects like Nine Inch Nails music video while Shirogumi integrated V-Ray into their pipeline for the Onimusha3 project for achieving highest quality renders and Animal Logic uses V-Ray for many of their shows. V-Ray's reliability has convinced architectural studios across the world to build their presentations only on V-Ray.

Our next step is to integrate V-Ray into the Alias® Maya®, Softimage® XSI®, Rhinoceros® platforms and others as well as prepare the standalone version of V-Ray® for Windows® and Linux which is about to come out shortly. This will ensure the ability to migrate between different platforms and be able to work independently of different 3D packages.

The access to the beta programme of Maya is limited. In order to participate one should drop us an e-mail at vraymayachaosgroup.com . Please state you reasons for your acquirement, projects you have worked on and any other information that may be of help to prove that you are serious about testing and evaluating. Please note that we expect a couple thousand requests in the first couple of weeks, so please be patient with our responses.

Limited support will be provided to the participants. However, they will be free to use V-Ray for any production work they wish to.

Finally, we would like to thank all our customers for their support throughout the years.

Let's get started!
