Disney Research parametrically constructs eyes based on simple data


 


It’s said that eyes are the window to the soul — and they tend to be the first thing we notice if they’re a little off in CG humans. Disney Research in Zurich has made some incredible progress in accurately modelling people’s peepers, and the tech was recently used in Doctor Strange.

This Wikihuman post highlights Disney Research’s latest parametrically-driven tech which can build realistic digital eyes from a single photograph. Warning: There are many extreme close-ups of Mike Seymour’s eyeballs.
