If you are training center and would like to take advantage of Chaos Group’s Educational products please visit Chaos Group Training centers web page and read the information.

Obtaining a Chaos Group educational license, or becoming a Chaos Group Authorized Training Center (CG ATC), consists of few easy steps.

Training Center's Access to Educational Licenses

1. We are a training center. What are our options to partnership with Chaos Group?

We have established two options for training centers. They’re available individually or together.

Educational Licenses for Training Centers

This option only covers the purchase of educational licenses for your computer lab and trainer/s. Chaos Group educational licenses provide the same functionality as commercial ones, but can only be used for educational purposes, and should not be used for commercial (for-profit) work of any kind.

Chaos Group Authorized Training Center Pack

The Chaos Group Authorized Training Center (CG ATC) program has been created so you can offer high quality V-Ray training. You’ll be able to market your institution as an official Chaos Group training center, and take advantage of the benefits included in the ATC program.

The CG ATC program does not include educational licenses. If your training center does not have V-Ray licenses, we’ve made it easy for you to access them.

To purchase the CG ATC program, you’ll also need to employ a V-Ray Licensed Trainer (VLT). Certification is free of charge, and the first step in the purchase of the CG ATC program.

2. We’re a training center, not a university. Can we still access Chaos Group education licenses?

Yes. After completing a quick and easy validation process, we can provide Chaos Group education licenses at the same discounted price as universities. Note that Chaos Group educational licenses provide the same functionality as commercial ones, but can only be used for educational purposes, and should not be used for commercial (for-profit) work of any kind.

3. Are these render nodes only going to work for 3ds Max or do they work for all V-Ray host applications?

With V-Ray 3.0, your render nodes are universal across multiple platforms, starting with 3ds Max, Maya, MODO, Rhino, SketchUp, Revit and Nuke.

Also with the ability to re-use your licenses, expanding your rendering capabilities is easy. These licenses are floating, so if you need to use another workstation, you can at will.

4. What are the benefits of V-Ray educational licenses?

Affordable pricing: Educational V-Ray licenses cost at least 80% less than commercial licenses. Additional volume discounts are available for institutions purchasing over 15 licenses

Flexible and simple licensing: Mix and match V-Ray products and platforms across the Chaos Group portfolio to fit your needs. The same low price for all CG products across all platforms. Add additional seats and platforms at any time

Access to latest technology: Free upgrades to our latest builds for the duration of the license

Fully functional software: Chaos Group educational licenses are the same as commercial ones, and come without watermarks or restricted functionality

Commercial level technical support: You’ll receive the same level of service as our commercial customers

Online Licensing: With online licensing, there is no wait to receive a physical dongle, and licenses can be activated in real-time. Online licensing is fast and secure, and you can access the your software faster – without the back and forth of WBC and RTU files
