From V-Ray for Revit and 3ds Max to VR: Multiplatform Workflows in Architecture

The masterclass is dedicated to the effective deployment of V-Ray's powerful rendering capabilities straight within the native design platform, to allow for an easy, et powerful and scalable process of visualization without interrupting the design workflow. This integrated aproach brings new flexibility and powers at the hand of architects and designers, allowing for visualization with quality and complexity, adapted to each stage of the design process - from 3D concept drawings and model-like renders, through cross-sections, light studies, material studies and complete 360-degree representations in VR. The masterclass will finish with a step further - utilising V-Ray's vrscene format to transfer the whole project into 3ds Max and create stunning final visuals with V-Ray 3.6 for 3ds Max.

V-Ray 3.6 for SketchUp: Bringing the best to your SketchUp workflow

V-Ray 3 for SketchUp was created to be the fastest and smartest rendering solution in SketchUp. And now we just took it further down this path. Kalina Panteleeva will demonstrate live how V-Ray 3.6 for SketchUp opens a completely new level of not only rendering, but complete user experience and design capabilities within SketchUp. With the help of a real-life project you will see for yourself the newly obtained power at every step of creating realistic designs and visualizations, with a quality everyone's used to expect from complex platforms like 3ds Max. You will learn to save time and effort with the new UI and its fast presets and smart controls; will get into the details of the completely new material editor and the vast material library, which comes free in the package. You will also find out about the new lighting possibilities, the added support to the photorealistic VRscans, the added post-production options straight into the VFB and the vast possibilities for cross-platform workflows.

V-Ray 3.6 for 3ds Max: The light way to heavyweight visualization

The latest V-Ray 3.6 for 3ds Max came out in early summer, adding new advanced capabilities to the toolset of architecture's most powerful renderer. The masterclass, though, will go beyond the feature set - it is set to help you upgrade your workflow so that you obtain the maximum out of your renderer's powers. The basis of the masterclass - a project by the Danish company Christensen & Co, was developed through a complete BIM pipeline and required as realistic and reality based images as possible, in order to get aproval by the most demanding customers - society and local authorities. So it is ideal to train effective l;ighting aproaches to creating evoking atmosphere, applying new materials, atmospheric effects and optimizing everything with the use of V-Ray's new added algorythms. Furthermore, we will take a step into Hybrid rendering and demonstrate a bunch other means of adding efficiency and quality to the overall visualization workflow.

GPUnleashed: Super-fast rendering workflows with V-Ray RT GPU

GPU rendering came to V-Ray in the form of V-Ray RT GPU long before using the GPU for realistic renders became popular and widespread. And yet V-Ray RT GPU has always been overshadowed by its popular and well-known CPU siebling. Still neighter V-Ray, nor the whole rendering world sit still and their hectic development brought an ever increasing demand for productivity, supported features and overall quality. And while with its latest updates V-Ray's GPU engine meets, if not surpasses the majority of users' demands, a few artists are aware of its true power and the approaches to deploy its full power within their workflow. Hence - the birth of this masterclass. Here Kalina Panteleeva will be working within an animated project, created by one of the most advanced and authoritative collectives in the GPU rendering world - Dabarti Studio. And the masterclass will train you to make use of all the vast variety of features, supported on the GPU, employing to the full extent both V-Ray's and your GPU's rendering powers, optimizing render time and performance to the maximum. All this - on V-Ray RT GPU!

Kalina joined the Chaos Group CG team in 2012 and since then she’s been actively working with V-Ray for Maya and V-Ray for 3ds Max. She has more than eight years’ experience in graphic design, photography, and visual arts. Before joining Chaos Group, Kalina was part of creative teams in the advertising industry.

Tuğba Başer
Technical Solution Group Manager Penta Teknoloji

Tuğba Başer has been using Autodesk Revit in education, projects and consultancy since 2007 and works as Technical Solution Group Manager at Penta Teknoloji. She also regularly shares her experience in BIM solutions with the Autodesk Revit official user community through articles and online seminars. Tuğba is instrumental in implementing and training Autodesk software and particularly Revit to the students at Mimar Sinan University and Istanbul Technical University.

Burcin Durucan
Design, Drawing and Visualization Software Product Manager Labirent Bilgisayar

Burcin graduted Hacettepe University at 1996 and İstanbul Teknik University at 2003. He worked at Yatay Bilgisayar as Technical Person, and then moved to Labirent as Technical Expert and Trainer for design and CAD software. Nowadays he is Labirent's Product Manager for Design, Drawing and Visualization Software.

Cem Çakaloğlu
Master Architect Dilekci Architecture

Cem graduated Istanbul Kultur University with a BA from the Architecture Department. After that he worked in Emre Arolat Mimarlık, before continuing his education in Istanbul Technical University and the Technical University of Poznan. Nowadays he holds the position of Master Architect in Dilekci Architecture. Cem is also co-founder of Look.LAb Design.

Niyazi Yıldırım
Adobe Certified Expert Adobe

Education and training have been the focus of Niyazi Yıldırım. Since the year 2000 he has been responsible for delivering the Corporate and Individual Channel Trainings of Adobe Products. Between 2006 and 2009 he was also Head of Web & Graphic Design Department of Edutime Private Education Institution, before moving in 2009 to become Trainer and Brain Team in Adobe's Turkey Distributor Medyasoft. Niyazi Yıldırım has been involved in content production and LMS content production, as well as simulation and game-based training projects, as part of the Fatih Project of the Ministry of Education. He has also worked as a Web & Graphic Trainer in Bilge Adam in 2011-2013. Currently he's Penta Teknoloji's Technical Solution Manager, following a recommendation by Adobe Turkey Office in 2013.

Hasan Taştan
Architect, Sales Support Specialist FGA MİMARLIK

Hasan is a member of the FGA Architecture's team, focusing on SketchUp and V-Ray for SketchUp. He graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Architecture, in 2014. Following his graduation, Hasan was involved in architecture production with many architects and design firms, before joining FGA Architecture. Currently Hassan is also pursuing an MA at Yıldız Technical University's Computer Architecture Master Program.

Burak Aydın has been working more than 16 years in Turkey's IT indusrty, holding various positions. In early 2017 he joined Viewsonic Turkey as Turkey & Balkans Business Development Manager.

A graduate of RWTH Aachen Technical University as Engineer in Process Technologies, Tayfun Erkeskin has unparalleled expertise and work experience in the fields of high end graphic hardware and digital simulation. He acts as general manager of TET Ltd, taking care of service management and product distribution. A reference of PNY in GPU products and partner of NVIDIA, since 1996 TET Ltd has been providing hardware and software solutions for Professional Design, GPU Computing and Ergonomics.

Ufuk Pamuk
CG Artist Ufuk Pamuk CG Art

Ufuk Pamuk has been working as a visualization specialist in various companies in the past years, perfecting his powers with architectural visualization projects in his spare time. His love for the film industry, details and effects,as well as the constant urge to push the boundaries of what he can achieve, have lead to a path of many sleepless hours and sacrifice, yet yielding unique short films like his 2015 "Nature Refuge" and the widely acclaimed "In a dream" in 2016. Never resting, Ufuk Pamuk is currently working on a new personal film project.
