To render with V-Ray in Blender you need V-Ray Standalone installed. V-Ray Standalone is included with V-Ray Render Node licenses
To try V-Ray for Blender you need to download and install the latest official version of V-Ray for Blender with the account supplied to you by Chaos Group or your reseller.
What is V-Ray Standalone?
V-Ray Standalone is a full-featured command-line renderer that supports V-Ray’s native .vrscene file format.
V-Ray Standalone supports V-Ray's complete feature set including CPU & GPU rendering capabilities.
Additional notes:
Some features and third-party plugins cannot be exported to V-Ray Scene (.vrscene) files.
V-Ray Standalone does not currently support GPU rendering on Apple® Mac OS©.
