    I've been playing with something and the results turned out quite nice:





    Note that the directly visible caustics are perfectly correct (e.g. no interpolation or anything). We'll see what (if anything) will come out of this...

                    Any chance of elaborating on what youve done?

                    It looks like some new fast way to calculate caustics... which is nice, as ive never been able to justify using them before.

                          Don't think it's smth deals with ppt ... Smth like fast photon mapping technique.

                          But awesome anyway!!!

                            Those look cool...
                            Not that I need to use caustics much, but those few times I have tried to use them I never seem to get the result I want.
                            Or the amount of testrenders to tweak them right are way to time consuming.
