  • NEW Benchmark scene (Max 8 Vray RC3 required)

Was bored and decided to come up with a benchmark scene, that incorporates some of the newer vray features. All textures are procedurals, so no worries about maps. If you like, post your screenshots here, and please dont mess with any of the render settings. No LWF was incorporated in this scene.

percy there seems to be some noise on the vraytoon teapot on some renders. Can you see that?

They look like JPEG compression artifacts?

Its just JPG artifacts. The image with the worst artifacts is 1/5 the file size of Percys image.
And the next worse one is slightly bigger..etc..

Ehh... I got a fast machine, that I did know... But it seems insanely fast! It is a Mac Pro running BootCamp. Xean dual dualcore 2.66GHz.

This is on Max 9 though, so I donĀ“t know if that should affect the time. It is running at 32bit.

                        Happy me!!

                        cheers!

at this risk of embarrassing myself - why can't i see any lights in the scene?

There not in groups, there not hidden or frozen, there is only 1 layer...
I ask because i liked the way you did the 'red security beams'....
